ICALLD symposium over time: December 2020 edition

Thriving in Action: A Flourishing Program That’s Flourished

Join AALL and other ICALLD members on 9 December 2020 starting at 6am in WA, 7.30am in the NT, 8am in QLD, 8.30am in SA, and 9am in ACT, NSW, TAS & VIC (Find the time/date in your location) for the second in a new series of webinars in the ICALLD symposium over time. In this uplifting, experiential session, ICALLD participants will be introduced to Ryerson University’s Thriving in Action (TiA) program, a unique mind-body-heart-spirit intervention for struggling students. TiA’s curriculum blends Positive Psychology, CBT, mindfulness, somatic traditions, and holistic learning strategies. TiA is a semester-long, equity-driven, non-prescriptive, upstream, health-promoting, early alert, pre-probation, midstream transition and retention initiative.

Join Dr. Diana Brecher and Dr. Deena Kara Shaffer to

  • learn more about TiA,
  • explore the Canadian academic and wellbeing landscape,
  • hear from Canadian educators implementing TiA,
  • expand your own repertoire of resilience practices, and
  • walk away with a felt sense of community and hope.
