What are the strengths of this practice?: 

Prepares international students for study in Australia and embeds academic skills in a pre-departure curriculum presented by SCU lecturer in China. Curriculum designed for Business students but could be adapted by other faculties for off-shore delivery.

What are the weaknesses?: 

New initiative; needs further development and evaluation.

What improvements (if any) would you like to make?: 

Develop more with further iterations and offshore delivery.

What approaches/theories of language and/or learning underpin this practice?: 

Interactive learning, team work, cultural competence, internationalisation of the curriculum.
